Named after the Tana River, the county is generally dry and prone to drought. Flooding is also a problem, caused by heavy rainfall in upstream areas of the river. The event therefore came at an opportune time to sensitize the over 1,000 farmers that attended on good agricultural practices. Moreover, the fair was an opportunity to display and explore permanent solutions to agricultural problems and expose farmers to modern and sustainable value addition methods.
